The Final Hour is an epic, cinematic platformer from xTrophx. It uses similar lighting and emitter techniques as those employed by anpostteller in his 'Post-apocalyptic' levels but also features some amazing-looking flame effects using glass. We've all been there: You've been out, got a bit panda and aren't feeling at your best the next morning. Then you find out all your cows are missing and while looking for them you get attacked by demonic chickens. Your only hope is to hunt down a crazy, talking beer bottle's miracle hangover cures... Just me? Oh, alright. A lot of you may have already played this one but I just realised that I've never recorded a GruntosUK LBP 1 level before and this is one of my favourites so I wanted to share it with you all just in case. A beautiful, bright and vibrant platformer by KARAS-X. Twisty stailcases, wonky platforms and crooked doors adorn this brilliant, and sometimes tricky platformer. A beatifully weird world full of quirky characters and amazing contraptions that Terry Gilliam himself would be proud of. Inspired (I assume) by the film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (edit: I've since been told by the Creator that I was completely wrong there. Whoops!), this level uses lighting really cleverly to bring to life a bizzare world of German pigs and crazy scientists. Sometimes in LittleBigPlanet, you need to draw the player's attention to a specific area or object in a level, and have the camera follow that object even if it moves out of range of the normal Camera tool. Here's a way of achieving just that using a Magic Mouth and the Cutscene Camera option.

This is an excellent adventure level from OIL_. There are some excellent little puzzles and some very tricky platforming sections. The boss at the end is exceptional and makes for an brilliant climax. It has also been nominated for Level of the Year. A bizzare take on the reproductive process... you could almost call it educational. Almost. The deserved winner of Media Molecule's Sackademy Award for Best Visuals and Special Effects in a Level - and I couldn't agree more. littlebigplanet.com It has also been nominated for Level of the Year. Why this level (at the time of recording) only has about 5000 plays is beyond me! It's just incredible. PLAY IT NOW!
