Multyplayer Hammer, + Koop macht Fun, + Story war gelungen = 5Sterne xD
Game of the Year!
Bought it for the Multiplayer which I love. I've been a DICE fan since BF1942. The single player looks amazing, but the gameplay is such a disappointment compared to BFBC1/2.
I'm swedish so I automatically love it! *Chuckle*
Note: These 4 Stars are based first and foremost on the Multi-Player Part of the Game. While I find the Single-Player interesting, it is not my primary interest in Battlefield 3 and therefore I don't have much expectations on it that would justify a Rating. 4 Stars explained: + 1 Star for: Breathtaking graphics (even on the PS3) that immerse you into the game! It let's you become part of the scenery and in combination with the great level design you actually start to "feel" being there. + 1 Star for: The new Frostbye 2 Engine! It starts with the breathtaking graphics but continues with the numerous possibilities to interact with the environment on which you can wreak havoc. Like in preceding Battlefield titles you can reduce buildings, trees and fortifications to rubble and leave no cover for your enemies. +1 Star for: The Sound. From the absolute chaotic noise of tanks firing at each other and explosions to the subtle, but none-the-less threatening, bullet impacts in the wall next to you, the sound of this game gives it an even more realistic feel! + 1 Star for: Jets! +1 Star for: An extremely fun and challenging multi-player experience where much depends on teamwork and strategies. Find a good squad or teammates and control the map, while unlocking amazing items, weapons and gadgets! - 1 Star for: Silly little annoying "bugs" that should have been removed from the Get-Go! I really would have liked to give Battlefield 3 five stars. It is fun, especially when teaming up in Multi-player, and time flies by when playing. I only played two evenings so far, but on both gaming sessions I had several "Ohcrapletsgetouttahere" moments, which ended in either frustration or hilarious laughter at my own stupidity. But several issues, like the buggy Voice Channels, where you are stuck in the old squad Channel, though you changed the squad, or the even more annoying lack of a "Quit" option after a match (you have to wait for the new map to load, like BF:BC2), keep me from giving it full stars. However, if you think you can live with several issues in the hopes of it being "fixed" in upcoming patches and you are looking for a challenging, tactical shooter with definitely next generation graphics, physics and sound, then Battlefield 3 is the game for you!
