Towards 1): I'd love to make the process of adding members easier. But in combination with the clan trophies, that actually could be abused. Just think of some people adding Hakoom to their clan... What do you think of the following: let the admin send out invitations by e-mail. Those invited will then be able to add their PSN-ID and then would automatically member of the clan. Yes, they would need to register, but that really is not my plan here. I honestly think people else would abuse the system.

Do you think the "new" mechanism for inviting members to a clan would be easier than the current way?

2) I already thought about that, but never came around implementing it. Also because we have no real trophycards right now. But I will ask one of the guys who built the trophy button if he can come up with a layout for this.

I also want to add the ability to let the clan admin add which games they are playing. Right now every trophy is shown on the clan page, although that might have nothing to do with the games the clan is playing. And then there would be the question, wether only trophies for those game should be shown on the trophy card, or all. All that takes some thinking and probably a lot of options for the clan admins :-)

But that shouldn't be a reason not to start working on such a clan trophy button. I will get to it in the next couple of days!

1. Hmm... I suppose you're right, I guess there would be some out there sad enough to add random IDs to their clan to boost figures.

So some kind of confirmation would be good. However, I'm thinking that if people haven't registered already, there may be reasons why they haven't, and an e-mail asking them to register could be considered an annoyance.

So... would it be possible to let people approve their membership of a clan simply by replying to the e-mail or clicking a link in it, rather than registering?

For example, the admin enters a clan member's ID and e-mail address, you then send them a mail with a unique code in the subject line, and a unique link in the message. Then all they have to do is either reply to the message or click the link to give their approval for inclusion in the clan. If they don't do either, they are not added. But at the same time, they don't need to take the time to register if they don't wish to.

I'm just thinking that certain clan members may not want or have the time to register, but may still be happy for their trophy stats to be included via the site. This method would make it quick and simple, and they don't need to part with any information.



2. I like the idea about limiting which trophies appear on the clan trophy card. My own clan is casual clan; I mean, we're all fairly hardcore gamers, but the clan side is just a casual 'when we get time to play together' kind of thing - so we'd be happy with all our trophies appearing.

But I can see that the more hardcore clans probably wouldn't want a member's trophies for EyePet or Flower contributing to their total. So yes, the option to limit which games are counted is an excellent one!
